Revolution at Batzra - in the Opera House
The Revolution Orchestra returns to the Opera House with the show 'Songs in Tandem,' based on the legendary program broadcast on Channel 1. This is not just a nostalgic concert, but a 'living laboratory' that updates hits by giants of Israeli culture like Shlomo Artzi and Shlomo Gronich with a new rhythm. The original performances are combined with rich orchestral arrangements, video-art work, and guest appearances by creators Ilan Feld and Roi Bar-Natan.
The Revolution Orchestra returns to where it all began – the "Songs at Tzeta" program, which aired on Channel 1 from the legendary Tzeta Club – in a Re:Play format performance that blows the dust off collective memory. This is not another nostalgic concert, but a "living laboratory" that takes our ironclad cultural heritage and beloved songs, giving them a new, relevant, and punchy rhythm. The lyrics of cultural giants Shlomo Artzi, Shalom Hanoch, Chava Alberstein, Shoshana Damari, Ariel Zilber, Yehudit Ravitz, and others – all as they were in their youth, as documented in the legendary program – return to the stage and screen in one evening. Original performances are interwoven with rich orchestral arrangements, and original video-art work using archival material. For the first time, The Revolution collaborates with creators Ilan Feld and Roee Bar-Natan, who will appear on stage intermittently and star in a series of retro videos and "commercials" shot specifically for the show as a television homage to the 1970s.
