Printmaking Workshop for the Whole Family

Monotype Printing – A View from My Window | Workshop Inspired by the Exhibition

In this workshop, we will explore the window as a viewpoint onto the world, and how blocking, cropping, and framing can alter the landscape we see. We will begin with a brief observation of works from the Through My Window project, in which the artist observed a fixed viewpoint over many years, while the landscape changed again and again.

We will then experiment with monotype printing and create landscapes together from layers of printing, impressions, and textures. Using leaves, natural materials, and various shapes, each participant will construct their own landscape within a window frame—a landscape that may be based on a real place, a memory, or imagination. Through the printing process, we will explore how, even when our view is limited, we can create an entire world from it.

During the workshop, we will tour the exhibition “Adi Ad,” displayed at P8 Gallery.
