In this lecture, we will explore the Sicilian Mafia, "Cosa Nostra," and those who decided to fight it against all odds. Using historical maps and photographs, Itai Angel presents the history of Italy and Sicily, focusing on Sicily's unique status and its transformations throughout history—from the Norman, Spanish, and Arab conquests, through the unification of Italy, to its fascinating role in World War II, including how the Sicilian Mafia assisted the Allies.
