Life According to Yael Levantel
Yael Levantel, a theater and television actress known for TV shows such as HaHayim Zeh Lo Hakol (Life Isn't Everything), Achorei HaHadashot (Behind the News), and Lo Lifnei Hayeladim (Not Before the Children), and her participation in numerous theater productions, presents a stand-up comedy show from the perspective of a mother of three who is still a child at heart. Yael brings her own life to the stage, but essentially reflects our collective lives, just as we are afraid to admit they truly are. In her performance, Yael touches upon all aspects of life, including marriage and family, without fear of what is right or wrong to say. In her opinion, for example, the biggest problem with raising children is that the option of boarding school no longer exists, leaving everyone at home with no way to get rid of anyone. Generally, life according to Yael is a daily struggle. In the age of social media, when everyone tries to show how perfect their lives are, she dares to look at life with sober, honest, and above all, funny eyes. In a reality where a woman is a partner, a wife, a producer, a driver, a cook, a breadwinner, an actress, a contractor, and a coach—when there is no choice—to stand alone on stage in front of hundreds of people and make them laugh is the easiest and most wonderful thing in the world.
