Yohanan and Bella, two aging bachelors thirsting for love, meet at Bella’s pharmacy. The arrival of a condom salesman turns the encounter into a negotiation between love, fear, and suspicion. A sharp, funny, and painful satire of the petty commerce that governs every human interaction.
Yohanan, an aging bachelor desperate for love, enters Bella’s pharmacy to buy condoms. Bella is an aging bachelorette, also desperate for love. Across the counter, a rare moment of intimacy develops between them. The romance is interrupted when Shmuel, a bachelor and condom salesman determined to get rid of his stock, enters the pharmacy and offers Yohanan a profitable deal.
Yohanan is torn between Bella’s offer of love and Shmuel’s offer of a discount—and chooses love. But just before the promise of love is fulfilled, doubts and suspicion unsettle Yohanan and Bella. The negotiations continue, love is postponed, and hearts are broken.
