The Rosh Hashanah festive meal will take place on September 11 at 5:30 p.m. at Dacha TLV, Tel Aviv. The program includes food, kiddush, and conversations about traditions.
We invite you to the annual festive Shishi Shabbat Israeli dinner in Tel Aviv!
Rosh Hashanah is not simply the first in the cycle of the autumn Jewish holidays. It is the beginning of judgment for all humanity—a moment of solemn pause and a fresh start: a time to look back, think about what we want to leave in the past, and consider what we will bring with us into the coming year, 5787.
Like all of Israel, we will gather around the festive table at our Dacha TLV to welcome Rosh Hashanah together—in the company of friends, with engaging conversations and delicious food. Along the way, we will find out why the Jewish New Year begins not with champagne but with an apple dipped in honey, why we need a pomegranate and a round challah, and why, on this evening, perfectly serious wishes are recited over some rather unexpected foods.
In short, we will welcome the new year in the Jewish way: with candles and kiddush. We will eat, chat, debate the meaning of things, and обязательно wish one another a good and sweet year.
When: September 11 at 17:30
Cost: 150 shekels
You can join the dinner by clicking the “Going” button!
The event is subsidized for audiences aged 18–35.
