The Lumina Trio concert will take place on September 9, 2026, at the Armenian Monastery in the Port of Jaffa. The program includes Vivaldi and Piazzolla.
The flawless harmony of Antonio Vivaldi’s Italian Baroque, the sensuality of Astor Piazzolla’s Argentine tango, and the passion of Israeli musicians will meet on the stage of an ancient Armenian monastery in Jaffa.
On the open terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, Lumina Trio will perform the program The Four Seasons. Unique arrangements for violin, cello, and piano will let you hear these famous works in a new way—emotional and remarkably contemporary.
Two eras, two musical worlds, one stage. Piazzolla’s fiery rhythms will intertwine with Vivaldi’s lightness and transparency. Instead of conventional concert halls: sunset over the sea, the glow of hundreds of candles, and the ancient monastery walls that preserve the atmosphere of bygone centuries.
Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons is filled with light and movement: spring streams, summer storms, golden autumn, and winter silence. Almost three centuries later, Piazzolla created his own Four Seasons—passionate, spirited, and urban. Instead of rural landscapes, there are the streets of Buenos Aires; instead of pastoral tranquility, the energy of the big city, nostalgia, and tango.
Come watch the sunset over the Mediterranean to the sounds of two great musical masterpieces. On the rooftop of Jaffa’s ancient monastery, they will sound especially beautiful.
Please note: The concert takes place in an open-air venue on the grounds of an ancient monastery by the sea. Evenings by the sea can be cool, so we recommend bringing a light shawl or something warm in case of chilly weather.
Please also note that there is no bar or café on the monastery grounds.
The monastery entrance is from the Jaffa promenade, not through the Old City.
See you among candles, music, and the evening sea ✨
