Conclusion of a birdwatching tour and family activities. The tour takes place during the migration season in September and includes learning about migratory birds and their adaptation to the seasons.
The school year begins and the holiday season is approaching, making this the perfect time for an exciting, value-driven adventure. Disconnect from screens and reconnect with nature, right close to home.
Families are invited to a special birdwatching tour where we will discover together the rich and fascinating animal life hidden in the urban nature during the seasonal transition of this time of year. September is an emotional month in Tel Aviv’s nature, offering encounters with our local birds, anticipation for the first flocks of migrating birds, and learning how nature prepares for seasonal changes and the beginning of autumn.
During the tour, we will go out into the field during pleasant daytime hours and learn how to observe the environment with a new, deeper perspective. Binoculars will be distributed to all participants, and we will learn how to use them correctly to identify the birds visiting us this season. We will hear fascinating stories about the behavior of winged creatures, learn to recognize their sounds and songs, and understand in depth how they adapt and prepare for long migration journeys and weather changes. We will uncover the secrets of local ecology, acquire basic observation skills, identify field signs, and deepen our familiarity with the natural space around us.
Participants will receive field guides as gifts and binoculars for the tour.
