Cinema Barakat presents: Because You Are Ugly

Just before becoming an officer in the Israel Defense Forces, Abigail, an angry and insecure soldier, returns to the small, overcrowded apartment in Jerusalem’s Gilo neighborhood, which she shares with her dysfunctional mother and her angelic younger sister. Abigail hopes to shed the last chains of her adolescence and lose her virginity over the weekend, but when she gets home, all her plans change: it turns out that her younger sister is pregnant. Now, instead of getting rid of her virginity, she has to get rid of a baby.
