The Embassy of Mexico and the Anis Cultural Center are organizing a screening of the romantic period film 'Arráncame la Vida' (2008). The event includes a reception with Mexican drinks and snacks. Admission is free but requires prior registration.
A period romantic drama set in 1930s Mexico, telling the story of Catalina, a young woman who marries an older man and gradually transforms into an independent, influential figure. Amidst love, power, politics, and passion, the film depicts Catalina’s personal journey and her struggle to find her voice and freedom in a conservative society.
At the reception, you can enjoy cold Mexican beers from Corona and nachos from Tres Pinos.
