Tomei Oren, award-winning pianist, composer, and arranger, celebrates his new album with a festive performance at the Culture Hall.
Oren is the first Israeli winner of the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute (now the Herbie Hancock Institute) International Piano Competition. He performs on major stages worldwide and has released albums on international labels.
Recently, he joined the esteemed ensemble of trumpeter Terence Blanchard and saxophonist Ravi Coltrane for a world tour celebrating the 100th anniversaries of Miles Davis and John Coltrane.
In this launch performance, Tomei presents original compositions alongside Alon Nir on double bass and Amir Bar Akiva on drums, featuring free improvisation and a personal musical language.
