Suburban Story — “Westside Story”, as you’ve never seen it before!
The greatest musical of all time — in a new, dazzling production. Enchanting, stormy, and sparkling like never before.
Dozens of actors, singers, dancers, and live orchestral music — in a brilliant interpretation of a modern “Romeo and Juliet”. This is the story of forbidden love between Tony — a young American and member of a street gang, and Maria — the sister of the leader of a hostile Puerto‑Rican group. Love, ignited against a backdrop of fierce hostility, turns into a dramatic confrontation of two worlds on the streets of New York — and leads to a tragic ending.
Songs from the musical became a milestone in the history of musical theatre, have survived countless interpretations, and are known to every true theatre lover. The work by Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein conquered the world, also thanks to two iconic film adaptations, awarded with Oscars.
The production is presented in cooperation with Music Theatre International.
