The fifth event in the Jaffa Tavern series will be dedicated to the beloved singer Ahuva Ozeri. The performance will feature famous singers such as Maya Avraham and Yair Tsabari, with Yehuda Keisar as the accompanying band. The event is unique and will be hosted in an inspiring setting facing the sea at Jaffa Port.
The music of Ahuva Ozeri resonates and rings in the hearts of all her lovers. Ahuva's voice was, even during her lifetime, a wandering voice that found a home in the voices of many singers. A strong and courageous creator, writer, composer, teacher, and groundbreaking performer. Joy and sadness are intertwined in her life story, shaping her personality and musical imprint. Her work did not remain within the confines of "Mizrahi music," and her collaborations with many artists from different styles, for whom she wrote and composed, contributed to her becoming an Israeli icon.
The show will feature members of the band that accompanied Ahuva in her performances in the last decade of her life: Ron Bunker, Gilad Dobrecky, Itay Nitzan, Adi Har-Zvi, Michael Meytal.

Jaffa Port invites you to "Jaffa Tavern," a series of cultural performances by the sea, inspired by the stories, people, and music of Jaffa. On the main deck, against the backdrop of the anchored boats, the sunset, and in the atmosphere of a pleasant summer breeze, poets, musicians, actors, and writers will host and bring back to the wharf mythical figures, sea songs, tavern tales, and texts born from longing, wandering, and love for the place.
Each performance presents a different angle of Jaffa - a city of fishermen, sailors, poets, and musicians, and connects local tradition with contemporary Israeli creation.
