Meeting as part of "Intellecafe - Book Launches at Businesses", where an open conversation about poetics and the act of creation will take place with musician Yaara Shaulian and director Gili Azgad. The event will explore a creative and ongoing dialogue, and how cultural roots transform into contemporary creation in the urban space.
The Authority for the Promotion and Development of Businesses in the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality invites the general public to "IntellectCafe - Cultural Content in Businesses."
This time, the event is dedicated to the craft of textual and visual editing.
Alongside musician and creator Yaara Shaulian, there will be an open conversation with director and creator Gili Azgad, who collaborated on the creation of the music video "Penelope's Longing."
In this meeting, we will examine how an ongoing creative dialogue shapes Yaara's stylistic choices, delve into the sources of inspiration and research from her Persian roots and how they manifest into contemporary Israeli art existing in our space. This spans from distilling images from cultural sources, through verbal processing strategies, to translating them into a visual language within the contemporary urban space.
This is an invitation to a deep discussion on art as a bridging action between root and formation, and on the poetic language that bridges between family memory to electronic and even avant-garde production.
Gili Azgad - Director and creator, comes from the world of video, today involved in communications, strategy, and creativity. Host of the podcast "If Already Azgad."
