The Kolben Dance troupe invites you on a bold journey through the realms of inner strength, memory, and awareness. As part of the DUO evening, two new works by Amir Kolben are presented, reminding us that hidden within art is the ability to continue on our path, to not give up, and to find new meaning even in the most challenging situations.
"Edi" challenges the viewer to become aware of their personal and social blind spots. The performance explores how our limited perceptions and human pride hinder us from seeing the reality around us. It serves as a warning about the "iceberg" that lies ahead, with which we risk colliding if we continue to live in ignorance.
"Grandma's Tales" immerses us in the fine line between truth and fiction, between memory and reality. The performance alternates recognizable everyday gestures with abstract choreography, creating a narrative about collective and personal memory. It opens up the depth of memories and the strength that allows us to grow from them, to continue telling stories, and to create new life.
The Duo evening transforms art into a bridge between personal experience and collective energy. It invites us to pause, reflect, be inspired, and be filled with new strength.
