Ella, a 42-year-old psychologist and single mother to a child on the autism spectrum, receives an urgent phone call from A., a mysterious patient desperate for an immediate appointment. When he arrives, it becomes clear that the patient is none other than God—the creator of the universe himself—who is suffering from deep depression.
He is despairing over his complicated relationship with humanity and wants to put an end to mankind, leaving Ella only one hour to change his mind and save the world.
Anat Gov’s wise and moving comedy, by one of Israel’s greatest playwrights, offers a humane and compassionate perspective on the challenging reality life presents and on the decrees of fate that God—oh my God—rains down upon us.
