A Family Comedy-Drama
Bini has waited fifty years for the moment when he could reunite with Rutha, his childhood sweetheart, and return with her to the neighborhood where they grew up in Dubrovnik, Croatia. When Rutha becomes a widow, Bini realizes the moment has arrived. He buys two one-way plane tickets, summons his courage, and comes home intending to tell Naomi, his wife, that he is leaving.
His heart races, the front door swings open—and Bini finds himself at his and his wife’s golden wedding anniversary, which their family has organized as a surprise.
Bini, who has never disappointed his family, grins from ear to ear, revels in the congratulations, cocktails, and family videos, but deep down he knows: if he follows his heart, he will break the hearts of those who love him.
Past and present intertwine and merge into a wild, funny, and moving family story.
Inspired by unbelievable stories that really happened.
