A play—a French comedy about a professional breakup specialist. The date and venue are not specified in the text.
Some people break up on their own. Others hire a professional to do it for them.
Eitan is a breakup specialist. He visits people at home and tells their partners that the relationship is over. But his latest assignment takes an unexpected turn when it turns out that the woman he is supposed to “break up with” on behalf of a client is his former lover, who disappeared seven years ago without saying a word.
When her current partner, who ordered the breakup, unexpectedly returns home, the situation spirals out of control. The three find themselves at a mad dinner filled with lies, misunderstandings, old grievances, and unexpected revelations.
A successful French comedy about love, breakups, and what we are willing to do to avoid one unpleasant conversation.
