The pianist and composer from Buenos Aires, Gabriel Palatchi, is visiting Israel and will give a special performance at Sela.
Palatchi is known for his unique blend of Latin jazz, tango, funk, world music, and electronic sounds. Over the past 15 years, he has performed at major festivals around the world, moving freely between modern jazz, Mediterranean rhythms, and Latin styles to create a distinctive sound that is both intellectual and full of groove. His performance is an energetic experience combining technical virtuosity with emotional depth.
Palatchi studied classical music in Argentina and trained with leading teachers of blues, tango, and jazz. In 2007, he completed his studies at the Berklee School in Argentina and continued studying in Cuba with pianist Chucho Valdés—an experience that had a profound influence on his music.
Throughout his career, he has released albums that received excellent reviews in magazines such as Rolling Stone and Billboard. His album Trivolution won a gold medal at the Global Music Awards in 2015 and reached the top ten albums.
Palatchi conducts workshops and master classes around the world, helping young musicians find their unique voice.
