If you met a monkey who had become human, what would you ask him?
A performance by artist Amir Yatziv, based on Franz Kafka’s story about a monkey who became human.
During the performance, Amir engages in a live encounter with Peter—a character powered by artificial intelligence, projected onto a screen, who responds and changes in real time. Peter tells the story of his past as a monkey, the journey he went through to become human, and whether this is truly what he wanted.
Sometimes he surprises the audience and decides for himself how the performance will continue, making each encounter with him different. During the performance, children are invited to speak with him.
This is a connection between theater and technology, and an opportunity to meet a “living” AI-based creature and think about what it means to be human.
The performance lasts 50 minutes, is presented in English with Hebrew subtitles, and is intended for ages 8 and up.
