The National Ballet Theatre of Russia, led by Vyacheslav Gordeyev, is returning to Israel to present the classic Swan Lake on stages across the country in a spectacular production featuring dozens of dancers and accompanied by a symphony orchestra.

The upcoming tour will feature dancers from the theatre’s principal company, including world-renowned performers. The tour in Israel will include 10 performances taking place from March 25 to April 6 in Beersheba, Haifa, Rishon LeZion, Modi’in, Or Akiva, Karmiel, Tel Aviv–Yafo, and Ashdod.

The theatre’s production of Swan Lake has received extensive acclaim worldwide. The combination of P. I. Tchaikovsky’s music and Gordeyev’s directorial abilities has created a mesmerizing, breathtaking performance—one that inspires audiences to return and enjoy it again and again, even when every detail of the plot and every musical passage is already familiar.

Swan Lake consists of two acts and four scenes, presenting the ballet classic with the highest level of performance and astonishing virtuosity that will leave the audience captivated.

The National Ballet Theatre, under the direction of Vyacheslav Gordeyev, has been active for 35 years and enjoys a distinguished reputation in the international ballet world. It is considered one of the leading and finest companies in its field, on a level with the renowned Bolshoi Theatre and Mariinsky Theatre. It was selected as “Europe’s Best Ballet Theatre” by the European Producers Association.

Vyacheslav Gordeyev, who heads the theatre, is an internationally acclaimed ballet star responsible for both the choreography and the theatre’s management. Gordeyev tends to preserve the tradition of classical Russian ballet; accordingly, the current production features exactly 24 swans, as in Marius Petipa’s original production.

The accompaniment of a symphony orchestra enriches the audience’s experience and provides the appropriate musical framework for the dancers’ artistic performances.
