On Taste and Texture: The Science of Texture That Will Leave You Wanting More
Prepare your taste buds, because in this workshop we’ll taste a whole world of fascinating textures! We’ll learn what “texture” is, taste foods with different textures, and even get acquainted with a field called “food technology.” We’ll also explore textures and change them: we’ll make butter, whip cream, and even prepare delicious bubble tea using food technology straight from the laboratory.
Among the other ingredients/allergens in this activity: pineapple, peach, peanuts, milk, mango, sodium alginate, calcium lactate, grapes.
Advance registration is required, even if the ticket is free.
The workshops are intended for children ages 6–12, accompanied by an adult. Children under six will not be admitted. Every participant must have a ticket. The workshop lasts approximately 90 minutes.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time to prepare for the workshop. Please note: entry will not be permitted after it begins.
