Local, Regional, Global: With Artist Eli Petel
Eli Petel is an artist born in Jerusalem in 1974. He has exhibited extensively in Israel and abroad, in both major and alternative exhibition spaces.
His work, based on painting and installation, explores perceptual gaps in relation to familiar images and an environment of otherness, examining the possibility of a profound gaze as a politically liberating event.
In the lecture, Petel will present his works from the past several decades and discuss events behind and in front of the scenes in relation to his creative work.
