Tour of the city of Bnei Brak "The City of a Thousand Sukkahs"

Sukkot is a unique time when sukkot appear in every courtyard, on every street, and even on balconies. These special huts are where observant Jews are supposed to eat, drink, and even sleep throughout the holiday! We will talk about this fascinating tradition and, if possible, even take a look inside one of these huts.

We will also discuss how the residents of Bnei Brak live today—Orthodox Jews, or Haredim—including their attitude toward Israel and Zionism, as well as their rules, laws, and customs. We will discuss whether devout Jews work, whether they are drafted into the army, what kinds of phones they use, and much more.
