A concert by Gil Shohat and Shimi Tavori will take place on March 4, 2027, at the Petah Tikva Cultural Center. Tavori’s hits will be performed in classical arrangements, alongside Mussorgsky.

Maestro Gil Shohat Hosts Singer Shimi Tavori
Shimi Tavori, one of the leading singers in Israel’s Mediterranean music scene, rose to prominence in the 1970s with hits such as “I Have No Love” and “A Night Without a Star.”
He won first place three times at the Mizrahi Song Festival with the songs “Black and Beautiful,” “Moses,” and “David’s Violin,” which became cornerstones of Israeli music.
Over the course of his extensive career, he released more than 15 successful studio albums and established himself as one of the genre’s most beloved and influential artists.
In 2021, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the AMI organization for his significant contribution to Israeli music. In addition to his musical achievements, Tavori participated several times in the Kdam Eurovision competition and left a significant mark on popular culture in Israel.
The current concert is Shimi Tavori’s first and intriguing meeting with Maestro Gil Shohat.
Shimi Tavori’s greatest hits will be performed in innovative and fascinating classical arrangements. In the classical section of the concert, Shohat will perform Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, in a special arrangement for piano and orchestra, in its world premiere!
