A children’s play combining digital art and video art will take place on October 1, 2026, at the Shoshana Damari Cultural Center, Petah Tikva. Itamar embarks on a journey into the world of imagination.
A new and original adaptation of the beloved children’s book.
A performance combining innovative digital art—the first of its kind. A multisensory experience accompanied by video art that will take children (and adults) on a spectacular journey into the world of imagination and fantasy.
In Itamar’s room, three pictures hang: a colorful train, a girl with a kite, and a forest with a pair of lions. When Itamar does not understand something, he asks many questions, but one question troubles him especially: why are the lion and lioness sad? After Itamar puts off going to sleep again and again and drives Dad crazy, he gets into bed with his teddy bear and little monkey. The moment he closes his eyes, Itamar sets out to wander along the walls and enters the pictures to find answers to his questions.
The child’s strength is expressed through confronting questions and fears and solving problems through the world of fantasy and imagination, by thinking freely beyond frameworks and boundaries.
