A dance performance by the Kamea Dance Company, choreographed by Tamir Ginz, on 24/05/2027 at 20:30 at the Performing Arts Center. A work about love, longing, and intimacy.
Yearning — Kamea Dance Company
Choreography: Tamir Ginz
“The new work emerging from me is my journey into my soul—the one that so deeply wants to love and be loved. Two people. Together. Enough.”
The work stems from a personal and private place. Ginz courageously lays his heart bare onstage, standing on the edge of an abyss of emotions, while the stage becomes a space of truth.
He embraces love, explores human emotion and romantic relationships, and yearns for intimacy in an era in which society is haunted by demons and the values of the past have fallen apart.
This is a journey of a soul searching for a home after the disintegration of the unbreakable and the quiet death of love.
“The new dance work has become a mesmerizing journey of passion, rupture, and longing.”
— Yuval Arel, Music and Culture Magazine
“I have never shed a tear at a dance performance.”
“This is not merely an international work, but one of the most moving and breathtaking dance works I have ever had the privilege of seeing.”— Lena Rusovsky, Kan Corporation Correspondent
“A work that succeeds in touching the most human place—the yearning for intimacy, the desire to belong, and, at the same time, the feeling that even within a group, one can feel alone. It engages delicately yet powerfully with separateness and the longing for togetherness, all wrapped in a movement language that is instinctive, talismanic, and highly contemporary.”
