Produced by Beit Lessin Theater
Haim Peretz, a 55-year-old widower living in a forgotten town named "Mevo Negev," dresses in his only nice suit, takes an expensive ring he bought with loans, and heads to the home of Drora Levi to ask for her hand in marriage. Although she has been dating him for several years, Drora is not sure she wants to tie her fate with Haim, a charming, funny, beloved man, but, how to say it, a loser. Haim returns home broken. In his jacket he finds an old lottery ticket he never bothered to check as Haim never wins anything. To his astonishment, he discovers the ticket won first prize. But what turns out? He needs to get to Mifal Hapayis in Tel Aviv within two and a half hours or else the ticket expires and the prize is forfeit. A romantic comedy about chance and the power of prayer.
