Her artistry is this nation’s most important cultural ambassador, on a historic scale.
Her voice and songs were the childhood sounds of Gil Shohat, the most prominent musical memories from his father’s home. He was born in Baghdad, Iraq.
Now, the Maestro presents her most beautiful and popular songs in concert form and with new arrangements.
At the same time, singer and actress Galit Giat has conquered every stage with the play about Umm Kulthum’s life and work at Jaffa Theatre.
These days, she is appearing and singing in the lead role in a musical about the life of Yaffa Yarkoni.
In this production, Maestro Gil Shohat and singer Galit Giat reunite for a particularly regal concert featuring the two legendary singers.
