☕ A musical journey following the songs, poets, and cafés of the first Hebrew city

There are cities that tell stories, and there are cities whose stories have become songs. In this moving musical show, Yoel Shatrog takes the audience on a tour through the streets of Tel Aviv, visiting the cafés where great poets, writers, artists, and creators once met – places where ideas were born, works were written, and Hebrew culture took shape.

Between a cup of coffee and a glass of wine, between heated debates and heartfelt conversations, songs were created that became the soundtrack of the nation. During the performance we will encounter the works of Natan Alterman, Avraham Shlonsky, Alexander Penn, Yona Wallach, Tirzah Atar, Natan Yonatan, David Abidan, and other creators who left their mark on the city and Israeli culture.

The show, based on the book “HaRehovot Mameri’im Le’at” by Zizi Satui, blends fascinating stories, beloved songs, stunning photographs, and Tel Aviv nostalgia at its finest. It is a journey from the old streets to today’s, to the places where the words and melodies that accompany us to this day were born.
