This theatrical performance, inspired by the works of Lev Kipnin, weaves together stories about Grandfather Eliezer’s quest to grow carrots and other vivid characters. The audience will experience colorful stage design, hear adapted songs, and become part of an interactive show. Designed specifically for children and their parents.
Additional details: "The Scarecrow – Grandpa Eliezer and the Carrot," based on the work of Levin Kipnis, winner of the Israel Prize for Children’s Literature. The play combines the story of the scarecrow with the song about the carrot. In the performance, children will meet Grandpa Eliezer, whose sole concern is nurturing the carrot he planted in a corner of the garden, but... that is a secret. They will also encounter Grandma Elisheva, anxious about the safety of the vegetables in her garden; the mischievous children Ozi and Avigail; and the scarecrow, tasked with protecting the garden from birds pecking at the vegetables. All this is accompanied by the show’s songs: "Sha'on Ben Chil" (Clockwork Boy), "Gina Li" (A Garden for Me), "Melafefon Tzach Ba Gan" (A Cucumber Grew in the Garden), "Yeled Pile" (Wonder Child), "Ma'aseh Ba'Gezer" (A Tale of a Carrot), and more. The set is stunning, colorful, and serves the plot effectively. The play has been newly adapted to reflect contemporary sensibilities.
