Houdini

For the first time ever, a ballet has been created about the mysterious and iconic figure of Harry Houdini, who rose to fame through his ability to escape from shackles, sinister prisons, and heavily guarded cells—whether upside down at great heights, underwater in the sea, or in a Chinese prison cell. No one ever managed to capture him. His mysterious art fascinated thousands of spectators around the world, and he constantly devised new and incomprehensible ways to escape difficult situations. Houdini always risked his life and always emerged victorious. Were there chains from which he was never able to free himself? And how did death ultimately catch up with him?

The ballet is presented by the Jerusalem Ballet.
