Aviel is religious-nationalist, while Itai is secular-liberal. They are paired together for the final navigation exercise of their commanders’ course—a navigation exercise after which they will become IDF commanders.
Very quickly, it becomes clear that the real obstacle is not the physical and mental difficulty, but the differences between them and the stereotypes each represents to the other. What begins as a struggle between two soldiers from opposite ends of Israeli society gradually becomes a journey of mutual discovery and unity.
They learn that each of them is far more than the stereotype the other attributes to him, and that it is precisely their differences that enable them to grow and confront the challenges before them.
From Point to Point is a new, suspenseful, and humorous Israeli play written by two IDF combat commanders. It brings the most quintessentially Israeli conflicts to the stage, alongside moments of laughter, emotion, and self-discovery—and proves that the only way forward for us as a people is to walk together, from point to point.
