A Tribute to Buena Vista Social Club – Hot Jazz, the International Series
Evelyn Dupuy & Daniel Lopez Montejo All Stars (Cuba)
The Cuban singer Evelin Dupuy, one of the most recognizable voices embodying the deep soul of Cuba, arrives at Hot Jazz with a special tribute show to Buena Vista Social Club, the project that revived the world’s love for Cuban son, bolero, and cha-cha. Accompanying her is singer Daniel Lopez Montejo, an artist with deep Cuban roots, and together their voices will bring to the stage the harmony, warmth, and authenticity of traditional music. They will be joined by a Cuban instrumental ensemble that will provide the show with the full sound of Havana. Alongside them will be Fernando Knopf (electric bass), who is also the musical director and a leading figure in Israel's Latin music scene.
