When Canarro takes the stage, two worlds connect: Paris of the 1930s, where Django Reinhardt revolutionized jazz guitar, and the sparkling universe of Budapest's cafe culture, where gypsy virtuosos became legends.
Manouche swing and Hungarian cafe music may seem far apart, but in fact, they are relatives: both celebrate freedom, virtuoso improvisation, and zest for life. Canarro's music unveils these shared roots—spicing up Django classics with a Hungarian aroma, and weaving the two traditions even in the ensemble's original creations.
