The Tango legend Marcos Ayala and his ensemble "Marcos Ayala Tango Company"
in the show: Tango Buenos Aires
In the winter of 2027, we are in for an exciting encounter with the Argentine Tango king Marcos Ayala and the finest Tango dancers he has gathered for his ensemble "Marcos Ayala Tango Company" — in the elegant, captivating, and sensual dance performance "Tango Buenos Aires."
The show takes the audience back to the "Golden Age of Tango," creating an atmosphere of a celebration of life inspired by America in the 1940s and 50s — a period when music and dance symbolized freedom and the search for a new identity. It is a spectacular musical-choreographic journey through the Swing era, big-band orchestras, the Canyengue Tango, and the milonga. Men in tuxedos and shiny shoes, women on high heels and in flowing dresses, draw intricate and mesmerizing patterns on the stage. The captivating music and the dancers' elegant movements, steeped in the spirit of tango, convey to the audience the passion, sensuality, and charisma of the genre.
The luxurious costumes were designed specifically for each piece in the show, with carefully chosen unique items and accessories. Together with dramatic stage and lighting design, they create a rich visual world and a unique, unforgettable artistic language.
Marcos Ayala — World Tango Champion (Japan, 2006), director, choreographer, and dancer — is considered one of the world's leading tango artists. After a grand tour in the United States in 2015, he won two Latin ACE Awards: one for lifetime achievement and another for the show "Tango Lovers," which was declared "Musical of the Year." Ayala also participated in Cirque du Soleil productions as a guest choreographer and earned the title "Revelation of Tango" thanks to his role in the musical "Chantecler Tango" (Argentina 2012–2014, France 2013).
Marcos Ayala skillfully combines the traditional language of tango with contemporary artistic expression. His ensemble, "Marcos Ayala Tango Company," founded in Buenos Aires in 2012, was born out of a desire to keep tango alive, evolving, and open to dialogue with other arts — stemming from the creator's deep and personal perspective. For Marcos Ayala, tango is much more than a dance — it is a bridge connecting eras, cultures, and hearts.
