Shiri Artzi and Yiftach Klein, a married couple both in life and on stage, share in an exposed, emotional, and humorous way, everyday moments from the absurd reality of the last two years. What happens to relationships, parenting, or routine when intimacy is required to enter a constant "emergency mode." "What Happened to Us" is an honest and true show about how to continue loving, fighting, laughing, and staying together even amidst the great storm of our lives.
Shiri Artzi is a screenwriter, television personality, and author, winner of the Academy Award for Television for Best Drama Series Script for "In Treatment" and winner of the Minister of Culture Award for Debut Book for "Mud" (Keter, 2006). Yiftach Klein is an actor who has appeared and starred in dozens of films, series, and plays. Both have created in the past inspired by their relationship: In 2022, Artzi published "Stories from the Separation" dealing with separation within a long-term relationship. Klein wrote, directed, and stars in the play "Slide Show Night," dealing with marital crisis, male vulnerability, and the intersection of the personal and collective. "What Happened to Us" is their first joint performance, which they created and perform together.
