Gordeev, the director, approaches the great classic with sensitivity and care. "Swan Lake" in the version of the "Russian Ballet" theater is a large-scale production, uncut and without abridgments. In the repertoire of the "Russian Ballet" theater, "Swan Lake" holds a special place. It is the most sought-after performance in the repertoire of this renowned company. In November 2012, the theater hosted the jubilee 1000th performance of "Swan Lake." The legend of Russian ballet, Vyacheslav Gordeev, an outstanding Russian dancer, a principal of the Bolshoi Theater, who dedicated his entire life to the art of ballet, has also showcased his talent as a choreographer. Gordeev as a choreographer has gained authority and admiration from foreign ballet critics. In 1992, after triumphant tours of the theater in Europe, Gordeev was awarded the "Best Choreographer of the Year" prize, as well as a special prize from Maurice Béjart.
