It was supposed to be a pleasant Parisian evening at home, with family and friends. Elizabeth prepared a special meal for everyone's enjoyment: Pierre, her husband, a literature professor; Vincent, her brother, who finally found his dream woman, Anna, and is soon to become a father; and their best friend, Claude, a trombone player. Over all this hovers the loving presence of the family matriarch, who lives far away in the village and embraces them with love and generosity. However, the evening takes a completely different turn, and none of the attendees will forget it. It begins with a game organized by Vincent, the father-to-be, where everyone is asked to guess the first name he chose for the unborn child.

A witty and surprising play.
The play is currently enjoying tremendous success in Paris and was even adapted into a film. Both of its writers are leading satirists who regularly write for French television.
