
A chess competition for children and youth will take place on November 27–28, 2026, at the Kiryat Ono Chess Club. Five rounds at a time control of 50+10.
Preparation Tournament for the Israeli Championship Qualifiers for Children and Youth

Under ages 7, 9, 11, and 13–15
At the Kiryat Ono Chess Club, 32 Yitzhak Rabin Street.

Tournament format: 5 Swiss-system rounds, at a time control of 50+10 minutes per player
As preparation for the National Youth Championship qualifiers, which will take place during Hanukkah.
Schedule: Registration on the community center website, www.hamatnas.co.il, by November 24.
After that, registration will only be possible subject to availability and with an additional fee of 20 NIS. No registration on the day of the tournament.
Rounds 1 and 2: Friday, 14:00–18:15.
Rounds 3, 4, and 5: Saturday, 10:00–16:30. The closing ceremony will take place immediately after the fifth round.
Prizes:
First place: a trophy in each age group. Second–fourth places: medals.
Participation fee: 140 NIS (120 NIS for Kiryat Ono players)

All players must have a valid chess player card—reported to the rating authority.
Parents are not allowed into the playing hall.
A minimum of 6 participants is required in each age group; otherwise, two neighboring age groups will be merged. The tournament management may change the tournament conditions at its discretion.
The number of participants is limited—please register in advance.
