Itzik Kala, one of the cornerstones of Israeli and Mediterranean music, has been accompanying the soundtrack of our lives for more than five decades. With over 30 albums, performances on Israel’s biggest stages, and songs that have become timeless classics—“I Am the Slave,” “Looking for the Way,” “Dad, My Soul,” and more—Kala is deeply etched into the heart of Israeli culture.
He began his career at the age of eight, against the backdrop of difficult life circumstances. Over the years, he established a unique style combining a powerful voice, impressive mastery of musical instruments and the language of maqamat, and a profound influence on generations of creators, for whom he served as a mentor and inspiration.
