Cuban singer Evelyn Dupuy, one of the voices most identified with the soul of deep Cuba, comes to Hot Jazz with a special tribute show to Buena Vista Social Club. This project brought back to the world the magic of Cuban Son, Bolero, and Cha-cha-chá. Joining her is singer Daniel Lopez Montejo, an artist with deep Cuban roots; their combined voices will bring harmony, warmth, and authenticity to the stage. They are accompanied by a Cuban instrumental ensemble that provides the full sound of Havana. Playing alongside them is Fernando Knopf (electric bass), who also serves as the musical director and is one of the leaders of the Latin music scene in Israel. The performance will feature beloved classics from Buena Vista Social Club, including: Dos Gardenias, Chan Chan, El Cuarto de Tula, Quizás, Quizás, Quizás. An evening full of soul, rhythm, and longing—a true Cuban celebration that brings the Buena Vista spirit back to the stage with full force!
