Synopsis:
Sarah, a nurse at the "Tipat Chalav" (Baby Health) clinic in the Halisa neighborhood of Haifa, cares for babies all day but has no children of her own. For years, Sarah has been trying to conceive through fertility treatments without success. When Anya, a young mother in distress, comes to her with her baby, Sarah does everything she can to help. The bond formed with Anya and her daughter Eden becomes a remedy for Sarah’s deep sense of lack, and it seems that each can provide the other with what they need most: a home on one hand, and a child on the other.
Halisa, directed by Sofi Artos (Emek), is a film about motherhood and humanity, told through the story of two women whose paths cross unexpectedly, perhaps at exactly the right moment in their lives.
