A tribute performance to Yossi Banai at Beit Sapir Auditorium, Kfar Saba. Yoav Kutner talks about the work and songs of the Israeli singer, actor, and creator.
Yossi Banai: There Are No Happy Loves
One of Israel’s greatest artists: singer, actor, songwriter, entertainer, and theater director.
He wrote sketches for himself and others (“The Pale Tracker”). He was the most diverse as a singer: from songs by Brassens, Moustaki, and Brel to “Me, Simon, and Little Moise” and “An Urban Evening.”
Yossi Banai was the funniest, and also knew how to be the saddest. And always moving.
