Staff Sergeant Ziv Balali, of blessed memory

Son of Aliza and Eli and brother of Michal, of blessed memory. He grew up, was educated, and studied in Kfar Saba: Yitzhak Sadeh Elementary School, Shazar Middle School, and Herzog High School, majoring in Middle Eastern studies. He completed Middle Eastern studies at Tel Aviv University. Ziv worked for the Israel Security Agency and at Barak 013, and was about to enlist in the Israel Police. He was killed by Katyusha fire in Kfar Giladi during the Second Lebanon War, while planning to go into battle. He was laid to rest on Monday, 13 Av 5767.
