To mark the 600th day of captivity of the hostages, we screened the film "A Letter to David." At the end of the screening, it was stated that the film is not complete until their return. We are now privileged to close this circle with a special screening commemorating the events of October 7, 2023.
Winner of the Best Documentary Film Award, Ophir Awards 2025.
"A Letter to David" is a cinematic letter by creator Tom Shoval to David Kuniu, a member of Kibbutz Nir Oz who was kidnapped to Gaza and released after 738 days in captivity.
Ten years ago, David starred alongside his twin brother Eitan in Shoval’s first narrative feature film, "HaNoar" (The Youth). The director weaves a personal cinematic essay for his friend and creative partner.
Following the return of David and Ariel from captivity, an emotional epilogue was added to the film, and it is now presented in its complete version.
A meeting with director Tom Shoval will follow the screening.
