A magical, breathtaking, and imaginative musical show brings to life the inspiring childhood story of Hans Christian Andersen, the greatest of fairy tale authors. Hans, a poor and lonely boy who struggles to read and endures mockery from his peers, finds refuge in the world of imagination, where wonderful stories are born and dreams turn into legends. When the King announces a storytelling competition with a grand prize, Hans decides to take the risk and write a story. If he wins the prize, his mother will be able to pay the rent, and they can stay in their home. Just before the competition begins, his story disappears, and everything seems lost. However, a surprising encounter with Lulu, a mysterious girl he met by chance, changes everything.
As reality and imagination collide, Andersen’s marvelous fairy tales—The Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid, The Emperor's New Clothes, The Nightingale, The Chinese Emperor, and The Golden Flower—come alive on stage in a colorful, captivating, and humorous musical celebration that reminds us all of the power of creativity and the magic of imagination.
