Join us for a guided day trip to Caesarea National Park, led by licensed Israeli tour guide Sharon Goldfarb.
Once a magnificent port city built by Herod and named in honour of Augustus Caesar, Caesarea has witnessed the rise and fall of empires across the centuries. Explore its impressive archaeological remains, from the Roman theatre and ancient harbour to the fortifications left by later civilizations, while discovering the people, cultures and events that shaped this extraordinary site.
Our guide Sharon brings more than four decades of experience exploring Israel’s history, archaeology, landscapes and cultures, offering an engaging perspective on the stories behind the ancient stones.
After our visit, we will continue to the Taj Restaurant in Or Akiva for a delicious Indian lunch. *Lunch is not included in the trip price and participants will pay separately for what they order.
Pick ups:
8am – Karmiel: Outside City Hall
9am – Haifa: Hof HaCarmel Train Station
Please bring a morning snack, water, a hat and comfortable walking shoes.
Important Mobility Information
This trip involves considerable walking, including stairs, uneven surfaces and periods of standing. Participants must be able to walk independently, keep pace with the group and comfortably manage stairs without assistance. Unfortunately, this trip is not suitable for those requiring a walker or other mobility assistance.
