This year in Israel, the traditional Yiddish festival marks its first major milestone—the tenth edition under the auspices of the National Authority for Yiddish Culture. This landmark event will once again bring together enthusiasts and native speakers of this unique culture to collectively remember, preserve, and reinterpret the rich heritage of the Yiddish language. The festival has long served as a vital platform for intergenerational dialogue: here meet those who remember Yiddish from childhood and those who are just discovering this language and its culture.
The gala concert features renowned performers Marina Yakubovich, Mikhail Riskin, Olga Avigal, Vera Lozinskaya, Nati Geila, accompanied by the Israeli Bessarabian Orchestra conducted by Dumitru Miller, for whom Yiddish is not merely a language but an integral part of their personal and cultural identity.
