Tohar Gadsi will appear at Noktorno for a one‑time show in honor of the Tima Festival. This intimate, acoustic trio concert features the hits from her debut album Tov Lehodos (“It’s Good to Give Thanks”), Petach Li Sha’ar (“Open the Gate for Me”), Sha’at HaNi’la (“The Hour of Lock”), as well as the EP Neshama (“Soul”). She will also sing traditional selichot (penitential prayers) and Yemenite pieces.
With her powerful, moving voice, Tohar carries the audience on a journey between the sacred and the everyday, delivering songs in a personal, sincere style that revitalizes Yemenite singing and Jewish liturgical tradition.
